Time For A Break
Before we visit Site #4, you may want to have a rest at the Tsangarides Winery. Entering the village of Lemona, you take the first road to the right and you will soon find it.
Lovely Vineyards
So if you would like a rest I suggest that you sit down at the front of the winery and try their excellent wines (my favourite producer) and get some nibbles with it. You can also have a look how they produce wine there, very ecofriendly (due to their PV Solar system) and partly organic produced.
But if you want to continue the journey to the last destination you are already on the right road to Amargeti.

Driving towards Amargeti the road is very winding so please drive carefully (especially if you had one or two reds) with vineyards left and right in the beginning and later on the valley opens and in the far distance one can see Amargeti. Arriving at the village continue driving through until you reach a T-junction where the main road from Statos to Paphos is. Turn to the right, towards Paphos, and after ca 2 km mind that you are not missing a bit of the old road on the right hand side. You have to enter this road and you will find the largest Gypsum rocks in Cyprus with swallow tail formation.

A close up of one of the rocks. Unfortunately this is also a stop for Safari tours which let their passengers cut pieces from this beautiful crystal rock. Every year there is less to see.

Opposite there is a similar large bolder also damaged by souvenir hunters.

The Crystal Hills of Polemi
We were introduced to the Crystal Hills a few years back. It was the first time we visited Polemi and we were on the hunt for geocaches. This particularly one was a near perfect example of what makes a good cache: an interesting location that we would have been unlikely to find had there not been a cache there. Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
