Scattered showers and light snowfall in mountains as unstable weather continues

After yesterday’s first snow in the Troodos Mountains, the weather will remain unstable with scattered showers and possible sleet in the mountains in the afternoon, and light snowfall tonight.

In its early morning weather forecast, the Met Office said weak low pressure is affecting the area while a low pressure system is expected on Thursday.

The Paphos criminal court on Monday acquitted 28-year-old Marios Panayiotou of the manslaughter of Petrana Milchova Nikolova, who is believed to have been mauled to death by dogs on February 22, 2018 near Geroskipou.

Peyia: Resident returns home to find burglar

A 43 year old Paphos resident is under arrest as police investigate a case of burglary, possession of an offensive weapon and illegal possession of property.

Police said that at around 9 am a Peyia resident returned to his home where he found the man inside the house, holding a camera.
