Cyprus Orchids
Two Tone
These orchids reminded me of bluebells.
Orchis syriaca
These had very delicate flowers, but I loved the two tone effect. The purples and whites look very elegant.
Difficult to Photograph
There is a chap who occasionally posts superb pictures on our Facebook Chat Group. He recently posted some lovely flowers that had the ocean as a backdrop. He achieved the result by inverting his camera on a tripod. I looked for similar opportunities while taking these shots, but as you can see, the orchids aren't really positioned with photo opportunities in mind.
Close Up
So we will just have to settle for close-ups, and let the orchids do the talking.
Lovely
