This shows how safe Paphos is. I haven't walked this route for several months, but saw this little stroller abandoned here on my last visit. In all that time, nobody has nicked it.
Yet More Trees!
The future shade is back. I wonder how long it will take before they make a difference? The trees planted in Old Town are now fairly substantial, and they only appeared a few years ago.
It annoys me when people moan about the lack of trees, without bothering to see if any have actually been planted or not.
Lighthouse Beach Approaches
We are nearly reaching the end of today's walk. It was as lovely as ever though it is a tad warm at the moment.

Paphos Harbour Walkway Maintenance
Recently the Mayor Of Paphos announced numerous contracts for improving the sea front and harbour area. The contracts were not only for the introduction of new facilities though. Some of the money was allocated for maintenance and upkeep of the existing facilities. It looks like this maintenance is already underway, because the area between the castle and the walkway to Lighthouse Beach has been closed for maintenance. Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
