Exploring Petratis Gorge

Earlier in the article I mentioned the Geology Centre. While I was visiting, I noticed they had some photographs of Petratis Gorge. I had never heard of this place, so decided to investigate. This resulted in my favourite adventure of the year, and I eventually worked out how to explore it.

Ayia Napa Aquaduct

Every year we spend a week on the East of the Island, visiting Protaras, Paralimni and Ayia Napa. On a previous visit I had explored the ancient aquaduct, but I was curious to see where it went. So this year I picked up the trail and spent a happy afternoon following it through the countryside.

While visiting the East I took the opportunity to write another Road Trip eBook, specific to the area.
Paphos Harbour Update

In July they started disassembling the monstrous carnbunkles that had appeared on the walkway of Paphos Harbour. Originally they had been intended to house Fast Food Outlets, but that never took off. Instead, they are being repurposed into a Seating Area for a new Ocean Basket Restaurant which is currently being built behind them.
Muntyan's Labyrinth

Roaming further afield, we stumbled upon this Art Exhibit near Melanda Bay and Pissouri. It is well worth a visit if you are in the area. I love stuff like this.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
