Paphos Seafront Roadworks Update - January 2024
The roads on Poseidonos Avenue have been dug up for quite some time now. While the end might not yet be in sight we now at least know what the finished result will be, thanks to a recent update by the Municipality. Let's take a look...
Sunny Seafront

We shall start our report by the Municipal Baths, purely and simply because it was a nice sunny day and I liked the picture.
Waves

The sea was quite choppy and was putting on a good display for my camera.
This Way

We are now going to make our way through this fencing and up the street past Tea For Two and Pingouino's. You can't really see it in this shot, but there is a designated pathway.
View To The Future

This is how the road will look when it is finished, according to the Paphos Municipality Facebook Page. Pretty impressive, I am sure you will agree. The only query I have over the design is the lack of parking spaces. Prior to the renovations you could park all the way along the north side of this road. Basically the car parking area is being replaced by a landscaped area. So where will the punters park now?

The Artist's Impression still has the palm trees shown, indicating there are no plans to chop them down. The other trees which aren't palms are not shown on the plans though. Does this mean that they are going, or was it an artistic oversight by whoever did the drawings?
