Paphos Seafront Roadworks Update - January 2024
Clever Cat
Passing a closed restaurant, I couldn't help but notice a motivated moggie who had found its way into a sunny area for a nap.
Past Pingouino's
As well as the landscaping they have also been laying pipes here. I think that part of the work must be nearly complete now though.
Oops
The placement of this bollard was rather unfortunate, as it is supposedly telling you to go left here, which is the wrong way along a one-way street.
Pedestrian Crossing
If you are wondering how I was able to take these pictures from the middle of the building site, there are regular pedestrian access routes along the course of the roadworks. You can see here that they have dug up a big chunk of road, given how high the tarmac on the left is.
Men At Work
You can see here that they have been working on access points for the pipes laid below.
Often when I make articles like this people criticise the lack of visible workers. This is normally because I tend to shoot at quieter times of the week. Sunday morning is a personal favourite. These shots though, were taken during the week, at mid-morning. There was some activity here, but not a lot.
There may well be a perfectly good reason for this level of activity, and I am not critising it. I just thought I would mention it in a vain effort to stop some of the ruder remarks from appearing in the comments.
