Today Paphos Municipality announced on their Facebook Page that there would be temporary traffic measures in place from July 1 - October 31, 2025. The areas affected are (we think) shown in the map below. The full translation of their post is shown afterwards. Temporary traffic arrangements - pedestrian measures for the period July - October 2025 on the streets of Agios Antonios, Dionysos and Apollo in the tourist area of Kato Paphos
The Municipality of Pafos announces that during July 1 - October 31, 2025, temporary traffic - pedestrian measures will be implemented in the tourist area of Kato Pafos in order to improve traffic management and enhance road safety.
Specifically, on the basis of the statutory consent of the Chief of Police, the following temporary measures will be applied during the period, which will apply on all days of the week and between 18.00 - 06.00 the following day:
1. Closure to traffic of the section of Agios Antonios Street, from the intersection with the streets of Constantia and Panagia Theoskepastis to the junction with Kikeronos Street.
2. Closed to traffic of a small section of Apollonos Street despite the collision with Agios Antonios Street, with appropriate temporary signage to inform drivers about the collision with Teukros Street.
3. Closure for traffic of a small section of Dionysos Street, from the intersection with Panagia Theoskepastis Street to the intersection with Agios Antonios Street.
Based on the consent of the Chief of Police, the Municipality will implement temporary road marking and signage to inform and guide motorists in order to ensure road safety, safe pedestrian movement and facilitate the affected residents.
The implementation of these temporary measures will be monitored by competent authorities and offenders will be complained extraordinarily. The Municipality of Pafos urges drivers to comply with road marking and marking in order to avoid accidents and unnecessary inconvenience.
