Magic Crystals
I don't think they looked as interesting as the crystal on the beach.
I played around with some camera settings - I really do need to grips with it properly - and it is surprising how the same picture can take on a different perspective.
This is the same scene with, I think, the flash used. I say think because I made the rookie mistake of not recording my camera settings as I took the pictures. I assumed I would be able to remember, but noooooo.
Not So Magical
I don't think a Polemi Sunset can really compete with an ocean sunset. Next time I am at the ocean and the sun is setting, I will have to try some more experiments. I wonder if anybody has found the crystal I left on the beach yet? I hope so, I would love to see the look on their face as they picked up a nice gypsum crystal in the middle of all those pebbles. I hope they washed their hands afterwards though, as those dogs had clearly been drinking a lot beforehand...
The final word goes to Bean, now being very cute, resting her paws on the side of the run and munching some grass.

The Crystal Hills of Polemi
We were introduced to the Crystal Hills a few years back. It was the first time we visited Polemi and we were on the hunt for geocaches. This particularly one was a near perfect example of what makes a good cache: an interesting location that we would have been unlikely to find had there not been a cache there. The only thing that let the cache down was it's size, but we won't go into that here. Instead we shall have a look at the terrain, and see why the cache was called "The Crystal Hill".Fascinating Fossilised Rocks Near The Sea
