Leaving The Church
With the walkway closed, you have to leave the church (if you can get in) by the door you came in. On the way out, admire the mosaic remnants on the ruins.

We are back in the present now, and are going to finish the blog soon. I want to follow the walkway - which is still open - to the other side of the church.
Church Rear
This part of Kato Paphos will come as a complete surprise to a lot of people, as it is a world away from the hustle and bustle of the sea front. If you find the ruins here interesting, you should spend €4.50 and visit the Archaeological Park. Believe me, you won't regret it. It is a magnificent place to explore.

We will begin a future article in this series from here, as it is a handy place to park. However, before that I want to show you part of the Kato Paphos sea front, between the SODAP beach and the Municipal Baths. That will be Part 7 of the series, which is currently showing no signs of ending.
But before that, I think another interlude is in order, so I will be inviting a guest speaker to show us around a modern olive processing factory. Watch this space...

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
