In springtime, however, the ruins are awash with colour.

This shot was taken from the edge of the ruins, looking out towards the sea.

During spring you could spend the day just looking at the flowers, never mind the ruins.

Once the heat wears you down, you can move on from the ruins, and enter the numerous buildings that have been assembled to protect the mosaics.

A Geroskipou Mini Mystery

After our last blog of the strange monument near Mandria, we were delighted with the response, so we thought we would post these pictures of another forgotten site, this time in the heart of Geroskipou. After comments and photos started appearing on the forum about the erection of a raised walkway, we decided a visit was overdue. So the other day, we went back to find the answers. Not only that, but we also found that most elusive of creatures, an artist's impression of what the walkway will look like when it is complete. So read on to find out...

As you drive along the A6 from Paphos to Limassol, you will pass the Asprokemmos Dam on your left. Just after that you will see some old ruins. This is the site of an ancient sugar factory.
