We post daily "Kalimera" and "Kalispera" pictures to Facebook on a topical theme. I thought it would be nice to give them greater exposure, so have combined them into a monthly article. The pictures here are now viewable in their original Landscape glory. So take a look at a selection of pictures we feel summarises how June has been in our corner of Cyprus.
Here Comes The Sun!
Let's kick off the month with a nice shot of Corallia Beach. In recent weeks there have been reports of microplastics affecting the coast of Paphos. Over the next few weeks we will do our own checks to see what the situation is, and will keep you posted. There are numerous possible explanations for this. It hasn't come from the beach shores though. It is far too fine for that. Hopefully the authorities will deal with it soon though, as Cyprus came top in the EU Clean Water League for 2025.
Coral Bay
Next to Corallia you will find the equally popular Coral Bay Beach. Both of these are accessible from Paphos via the 615 bus.
Antasia
I do like this view you can get showing the Antasia Beach Bar at SODAP Beach with the lighthouse in the background. You need a drone to get it though, and if you look carefully you will see that this is in fact a selfie. That's me in the bottom right.
Imperial Island
This hotel is as far as I can fly the drone up the Hotel Strip. The Imperial Island is just before the start of the Paphos Airport No Fly Zone.
One Vision
The Ocean Vision is one of the bigger Tour Boats that depart regularly from the Harbour.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
