Kato Paphos Archaeological Park
Man with Club
Don't worry. If you visit the mosaics they are all signposted, so you will be able to find out more information on the designs.
A Bird Carrying A Man
I find the intricate borders just as fascinating as the pictures themselves.
Farmer Taking a Break?
Now, if you do visit the park, you may be wondering how I managed to take pictures like these, as I appear to be floating directly above the pictures, whereas in fact I viewed them from the walkway, at an angle.
A Peacock
The answer is rather mundane I am afraid. I didn't use an elaborate system of ladders. I just took the pictures from the walkway, and utilised Photoshop's perspective crop feature, to correct the angle.
A Party or a Fight?
I haven't adjusted this shot, so you can see perspective.
We were surprised with how much furn the the archaeological park was. I have only included a small selection of the mosaics and ruins here. If you are visiting Paphos definitely include the park in your itinery. In my blogs I have documented numerous sites that are off the tourist track. These places are well worth a visit too, as you get the place to yourself and can wander anywhere. However, if you don't have transport (the park is centrally located and right next to the main bus depot) then you will still be able to experience the best of the bunch by visiting here.
