Amiantos Hospital

Keen urban explorers, when we heard about the old asbestos mine of Amiantos, and it's abandoned hospital, we had to pay a visit.

Max is Back

We also had some more crystals from Max to see.
August: Sparti Adventure Park

In August we had a real treat. We had driven past Sparti on numerous occasions without paying it much attention, but when our daughter was invited here by some Cypriot friends, we jumped at the chance to take a look.
Road Trips

Sometimes, it's nice not to visit a specific destination, but to just set off with a full tank of petrol, plenty of cold drinks, and possibly a picnic, and see where you end up. On this particular instance, we went from Kannivou to Polis off road.
More Road Trips

We also went from Vretsia to Kelefos Bridge and beyond. And yes, we know that isn't Kelefos Bridge. We stopped at Roudia Bridge on the way through. We haven't yet blogged about Kelefos Bridge. We are waiting for the rains to kick start the river that runs through it. At the moment it is bone dry.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
