The Polemi Tulip Festival Is Coming!
This sunday, the 2nd April, sees the annual tulip festival return to Polemi. Yesterday we took a peek at the fields to see what is in store...
Getting There

The event begins at the Metochi Cultural Centre at 11AM. If you turn off the B7 at the Polemi turning by the Garage, you will find plenty of signs.
The event at the cultural centre will include free wine, traditional Cyprus sweets and a dancing and singing programme. Visitors will then be able to go for a walk on the fields filled with blossoming tulips.
The Tulip Field

We first visited here about a week ago, but couldn't see much. However, in the last week, the tulips have began to flower.
Lots Of Tulips

By Sunday there will be a lot more in flower, but already in places there was an abundance of red and pink.
Gatecrashers

And it isn't just tulips! Other flowers are also trying to get in on the act.

There are numerous places in Polemi where you can have a sunday feast once you have viewed the tulips, though it is likely to be busy so booking ahead is advisable.
