Polemi Tulip Festival

Published 1st of April, 2026

I was impressed with the variety of stalls, and I didn't see a single Pink Panther!

More tulip art was available here, as well as some cartoon donkeys.

Basket weaving is another popular activity.

There were a number of stalls you will also find at the later harvest festivals.

These look like weird sausages but they are in fact sweets called Soutzoukos. These are made by threading whole almonds or walnuts with a cotton thread and dipping them several times into a mixture called Palouze. This is a thick jelly made by combining grape must with rosewater, cinnamon, and mastic. To be honest I'm not much of a fan but they are very popular in Cyprus.
