Polemi Tulip Festival

Published 1st of April, 2026

The Polemi Tulip Festival is an annual event in the village, which celebrates the wonderful flowers that grow in some of the surrounding fields. It is a great way to grab a slice of Cypriot Village Life so let us show you around...

Central Square

The Tulip Festival is a popular event. Every year we advise visitors to park in one of the side streets away from the Metochi Tavern and walk down. If you head directly to it you will find the main square choc full of cars, as well as the ubiquitous Rambo Ice Cream Van.

Festival Fringe

Festival Fringe

Like the Edinburgh Festival, the Polemi Tulip Festival has a fringe event that clusters on the road up to the Metochi Cultural Centre. We shall take a look at these stalls after we have shown you the main event.

Inside the Cultural Centre there was a stage with plenty of seating around it. Beyond the seating area were more stalls. The lady in red appeared to be the Compere.
