Polemi Tulip Festival
Yada
As well as loukoumades you could also buy other nibbles here, like koupes. These are a popular Cypriot street food, featuring crispy bulgur wheat shells filled with spiced, minced meat (usually pork or beef), onions, and parsley. Often shaped like small, oval torpedoes, they are deep-fried until golden and traditionally served hot with lemon wedges. In bakers you will often find vegetarian versions too. I am a big fan of koupes!
There were more stalls than this but I want to show you the tulip field, so let's get on.
To get to the field from the festival, just follow other people. There are also signs, but the route is obvious.
You will soon leave the houses behind and enter vineyard country.
Some people insist on driving the short route to the field, but there really is no need.
