This curious fellow is a master of camouflage. I published a photograph of one a couple of years ago, near Pissouri. I have yet to identify what it actually is though.

These thistles are more painful than the thorns, but easier to avoid.

I like this one. Normally I am not much of a fan of suns rays in photos; they get in the way of the picture. I think this one captures the country scene well though.

Polemi Sunrise
A couple of days ago I was up bright and early running some errands, and I couldn't help but notice the beautiful sunrise. Naturally enough, I took some pictures, and this put me in the mood to take some more snaps as I carried out my chores...Polemi Sunset
Polemi isn't known for it's sunsets, well, to us at least. They are normally the domain of the coastal areas of Paphos, and Max's house. However, this evening, the Gods smiled on us, and granted us a lovely sunset. The photos can provide a brief, fitting epilogue to our last blog, Polemi Sunrise.Polemi Rain
The winter storms are back with a vengeance. Polemi had 46mm of rain overnight, and it showed this morning. Our webcam presented a sorry picture, but I was curious to see what was happening in other parts of the village...Polemi Snow!
I know Polemi has had snow many times before, but this is the first time we've had proper snow since we moved here in June. So naturally I had to take some pictures...A Crystal Road Trip
Today Max takes us on a road trip around the Paphos district, to look at some of the fine crystal formations you can find by the roadside. He also shows you a nice vineyard where you can stop for a break and sample their wares...Good Pages To Visit
