Pano Akourdaleia Nature Trail

While it was very overgrown, I have to say it was very peaceful here. You could sit here all day long in splendid isolation, and just listen to the sounds of nature around you. Marvelous.
Possible Gorge?

Just before I began my climb, I noticed the gorge narrowed and got a lot more interesting. Unfortunately, between me and the interesting bit there was a large, stagnant pool of water. I could have shimmied along the side here but the thought of slipping and sliding into that smelly black water prevented me.
What Lies Beyond?

So I definitely have unfinished business here. I would like to come back and join the two halves of the trail again. But I would also like to investigate what lies in that direction.
From Above

It is possible that I can go across these rocks and rejoin the gorge a little further up. The only risk here is that it might be a lot narrower at this point, and I might find myself with a large drop. It is certainly worth investigating though.
The Missing Link

I will leave you (and thank you for staying the course!) with this drone shot, showing both ends of the trail, and the gap in between. Somewhere in that gap are 8 signs highlighting points of interest. Has anybody done this walk? What was it like before the vegetation took over? It is a shame it is overgrown, as it goes through some beautiful countryside.
