Paphos Old Town in 2026 - Part 3
In part 3 of our look around Old Paphos in 2026 I take a look at the Indoor Market and the area around the Mosque and central car parks. I also find an old house that is a perfect example of what Old Paphos was like before the renovations began.
Coffee Shop View
We begin Part 3 once again at the viewpoint overlooking the lower carpark in Old Town. Below us you can see the entrance to the lovely Avli tis Nefelis Coffee Shop. I recently did a film down there which proved very popular. It is an amazing place to go for a relaxing drink.

Indoor Market
In today's episode we shall be passing through the indoor market, but not from this entrance.
Asian Kitchen
Around the other side of the market I have often seen a sign pointing to an Asian Restaurant. If you are curious as to where it is, you will find it directly above the market.
Nola Kitchen Bar
"Kitchen Bar" seems to be a popular term these days. According to my quick Google Search, a kitchen bar in a restaurant is an interactive seating area overlooking the kitchen, allowing guests to watch chefs work while dining. It bridges the gap between front-of-house and back-of-house, creating an engaging, informal dining experience often favored for solo diners or those seeking entertainment.
Whether that applies here I don't know. I do know that the cafe itself is very popular.
Road To Somewhere
Here is the route of today's walk, for the curious. The kink on the right is the indoor market, whereas the left bulge is the walk behind the mosque and the Paphos Cat Lady's area.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
