Paphos Old Town In 2026 - Part 2
In Part 2 of our tour of Old Paphos in 2026 we take in the sights and sounds around the lovely Ibrahim's Khan.
A Familiar Square
We begin our exploration where we finished Part 1. Incidentally, if you missed that you can catch it here.
Back In The Day
A few years ago, this Square was priviliged to play host to this amazing mural by renowned artist Millo. Unfortunately, the owners of the building decided to decorate over it. To me this was a crying shame. What view do you prefer?
This does emphasise what I always say about these murals though. Don't take them for granted. If you want to appreciate them, go and see them for yourselves. They won't be here for ever.
Old Town Burgers
From the Square I am going to walk up to Ibrahim's Khan. Along the way I passed this burger bar, which opens at midday according to Google. They do Smash burgers too, as well as hot dogs.
Dream Catchers
This is one of the entrances to Ibrahim's Khan. The restaurant here has some lovely dream catchers on the wall, which have been there almost 10 years. I think the periodically get repaired, but they have become a lasting monument to peace over the years.
Back In 2018
This is what they looked like when they were first created. Look how small the tree is! It has grown a lot in a few years.
In case you were unaware, the dreamcatchers are the work of Peace2Peace. They are a pan-Cypriot Art Collective consisting of women from Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot Communities who come together to demonstrate what is possible when the two cultures embrace each other. Amen to that.
