Droushia Museum Of Rural Life

We visited the fourth and final new museum of the Akamas Villages in November. You can find the Museum of Rural Life in Droushia, and it is well worth a visit. In fact, given that they are all in close proximity to each other, you can make a day of it and visit all four.

Paphos Castle Illuminations

The majority of the the Paphos Harbour renovations are now complete. To appreciate some of them fully, you really have to visit the area at night.
Avakas Gorge

Towards the end of the year, my brother came for a visit, so I gave him the full tourist treatment. He likes his walks, so one of the first things we did was explore Avakas Gorge. Since we did this walk, the gorge has been closed due to falling rocks, so check before you visit to ensure you aren't disappointed.
A Week In Paphos

I summarised my brother's entire visit in this article. We packed a lot into his week!
Paphos Christmas Lights

December brought with it the Christmas Decorations. Personally I was a bit disappointed with the Mall this year, but I did like the lights around Kennedy Square and Old Town.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
