Review of 2023
Polis Christmas Village

Polis also put on the Christmas Cheer. Their Christmas Village was lovely.

Paphos Seafront During Renovations
As well as all the articles we published, we also made hundreds of films. You can see them all on our Paphos Life Youtube Channel but I have included four of them here. The first film shows our first reaction to the Seafront Renovations. Looking back on it now, it was all worth it, but it was a bit of a shock at the start!
Paphos Old Town At Night
I finally got a camera that was capable of making decent film at night. So naturally I went to the Old Town to check out the atmosphere.
Kataklysmos Festival
If you want to see what a typical Cypriot Street Festival is like, take a look at our film of Paphos Kataklysmos.
Petratis Gorge
I will finish my review of 2023 with the film I made when I was exploring Petratis Gorge. This was my highlight of 2023 (other than the birth of our first grandchild!) and it is a place I plan to revisit in the New Year. There are other adventures waiting too. A mysterious bridge in the middle of a wood, hidden gorges, forgotten trails. And the renovations are still ongoing, how will they turn out? Also, I will be visiting more businesses to report on the work they are doing, and updating the beaches directory to take into account recent awards and work. And much more than that. Cyprus is the gift that keeps on giving.
So there is plenty to look forward to. See you in 2024.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
