Troodos Winter Wonderland 2024
Troodos Hotel

The food they serve at the Hotel by the roundabout is quite nice. I've eaten there a couple of times in the past, and can certainly vouch for the souvlaki and pork chops. You will have to eat it inside at the moment though. Mind you, it is a lot warmer in there!

Icicles

In previous years the icicles on the side of the hotel have been much, much bigger than this. They still looked nice enough though.
Winter Viewpoint

From Troodos Square I headed towards Prodromos. I wanted to fly the drone around the Berengaria Hotel again, to see what it looked like when snow had fallen. Unfortunately, the clouds were very low now, and by the time I got to Prodromos it was clear that I wasn't going to be flying anything any time soon. So, I pulled over to a viewpoint to take a final picture.
Now A Major Film
While I was taking pictures, I was also filming my walk. You can see the film here.
Driving
And this was a film of the drive from Troodos Square to Sun Valley Ski Resort. On Youtube you can also see the 360 film we published. Just click the "Watch on YouTube" link above and head over to our channel. You will find it there.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
