Those round pillars look a bit mysterious. What will they be used for?
Towards The Castle
Anyway, time to move on. We are now heading for the castle.
There's a nice little path here that leads to a sculpture. You can also see one of the benches I was referring to, on the path itself.
Any Ideas?
Will this be a kiosk or something else? I commented on the flower feature in the last update, and it turns out that it has actually been there for a while. It was part of an exhibit they ran in 2017, when Paphos was the EU City of Culture.
Raised Platform?
It looks like they might be erecting a wooden walkway here. Those rectangular blocks look like supports.

Recently the Mayor Of Paphos announced numerous contracts for improving the sea front and harbour area. The contracts were not only for the introduction of new facilities though. Some of the money was allocated for maintenance and upkeep of the existing facilities. Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
