Paphos Walkway June Update
Harbour Rear

There is still a fair bit of work to do at the castle end. This shot is also a rare selfie. You can just make me out standing in front of that blue car behind the fence.

Platform Puzzle

Does anybody know what is going to appear here? You can see beyond the fence that a new restaurant has sprouted up. It is actually an ice cream parlour. You will see more of that in our next Walkie Talkie film. That should be appearing tomorrow. Before that, we shall publish a film of the drone flight I made on this visit.
Harbour View

The harbour has scrubbed up very nicely indeed.
An August Occasion

According to Harry - The O La! La! man at Steve's Cafe - the seating here is for an Opera that is being held in August. Hopefully it will see a bit of use before then as well.
Distant Tower

I'll finish with this shot looking out across the Harbour water to the Sea Front. In the top right you can see the much-maligned new tower they are building. It is white now, and I have to say, it makes it look a bit smaller and less imposing. We will doubtless return to the path in due course, and one day in the not-to-distant future we will walk along it and give you a proper report. If the look of the harbour now is anything to go by, it will be worth the wait.

I flew the drone up to have a closer look...

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
