Off to Fabrica Hill

So, with our guests in tow, we went and did some shopping. Afterwards, the plan was to return to the Almyra Hotel, where they were staying, for a swim. As we had time to spare, we decided to show them Fabrica Hill. Now, we have already covered this in a couple of blogs, so I won't dwell on it. I will just give a brief summary to what has changed since Fabrica Hill and Beyond Fabrica Hill.

Firstly, the web art installation in the caves has now been removed. Secondly, the frame of the new walkway has been completed, but no further work has been done. Perhaps they are waiting for the visitor centre to be complete? I don't know. Finally, unsurprisingly, everything is yellow.

Everything

Yes, even the amphitheatre is not escaping the floral display.

More Non Yellow

These were nice, and distinctly un-yellow. We also have some growing in our garden, which may have arrived as weeds but have now managed to transition themselves into respected flowers. Rather like the pansies.

So that was Fabrica Hill. As I said, aside from the floral display, not a lot has changed since our last visit. Now, I do still need to return to visit the area around St Paul's Pillar, as we haven't blogged about that yet. But that will have to wait for another day.

Cyprus Orchids

If you only visit in the heat of summer, you could be forgiven for thinking that a lot of Cyprus is like a desert; brown and arid. However, the truth is somewhat different. During Spring, most of Cyprus is green, as recent blogs will have shown. Not only that, but spring flowers come out to bloom, painting the hills and valleys with a sea of colour. If you are lucky, or you know where to look, you will also come across fields of orchids...
