I arrived back on top of the hill just in time. This couple were already there, but they didn't stay for long.
Sunset Strip
So I stood and waited.
I was soon joined by a family of Russians, who had come to watch the sun set themselves.
Here Comes The Sun
As the sun began to set, one of the Russian family started playing the Beatles song "Here Comes The Sun" on their phone. It nicely fitted in with the scene, though it would have been a bit more appropriate for a sunrise.

And on that slightly surreal note, we shall conclude our tour of Kato Paphos. I've thoroughly enjoyed taking a closer look at the area, and do hope that you have found some of my observations useful. If you have been unable to visit Paphos recently, because of the pandemic, hopefully this tour will have provided you with a bit of a fix until you can be here in person. Let's face it, COVID won't be here forever, and Paphos will still be waiting for you.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
