We were pleased with the dam, but it was gradually filling up.

Rather than break the dam ourselves, we decided to wait until it overflowed naturally.

Had our daughter not got so wet and cold, we would have built a little village below this dam, for added effeft.

I was surprised at the volume of water we had managed to dam. It made quite a roar as it cascaded over the rocks.
