Dam Busters
More Rain

However, it was time to go. The clouds were drawing in, and we could see that more rain was on the way.

Final Dam Shot

I was pleased to see that most of the dam was still intact. I wonder how long it will be before the rains wash it all away?
Back To The Car

It was time to go back to the car, before the rains came. So I took a couple more pictures of the river just for good measure.
Marathounta in the Rain

Oh we did find one last thing. When I saw it I thought I had seen a tiny snake. There have been reports of such animals in the press, but it was highly unlikely that I would find one.
Skink Ahoy!

On closer inspection, I could see that the creature had small legs, so definitely wasn't a snake. It is actually a Skink, and it is the first one that I have seen in Cyprus. So this picture is a little Christmas gift to you reading this blog. Happy Christmas!

We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
