While we were looking for dam sites, my daughter found a decent vein of clay. She was gathering it for future art projects but unfortunately managed to fall into this river and got rather wet.

So, with a wet daughter having to rely on my jumper to keep her warm, it was important to make a decent dam to cheer her up. Fortunately I had brought a shovel along, so we were soon at work.

An added bonus about making a fairly big dam is that you get a lake, complete with reflections, to take photographs of.
