Chrysochou Water Mill

We come off the B7 at Chrysochou to have a look at the renovated water mill. Then we drive up to the sulphur spas.

Miliou

I decided to take the route through Miliou and Pano Akourdaleia. Both these villages are lovely.

Pano Akourdaleia

I had originally planned on going through Kato Akourdaleia to get here, but they are rebuilding the roads there at the moment, and there is a rather bumpy diversion. So I opted for a very scenic route through the sulphur spa instead.

The Herb Garden is at Pano Akourdaleia. That's a great place to stop for refreshments.

Theletra

We continue the road up the hill to Kathikas, then turn left towards Stroumpi. We then turn left again to visit the abandoned village of Theletra. They have cleared the landslide on the road down here now, so you can continue back on to the B7 if you want. However, the tour itself sends you back up to the main road and on to Stroumpi that way. Whichever way you arrive back on the B7, you need to follow it to the Polemi turning, then turn left.

Kallepeia Calling

Once you have explored Polemi, the last place we visit is Kallepeia. There is a great viewpoint here which will provide the perfect ending to a fun-packed day. All that remains is to return to the B7 and head back down into Paphos.

Chrysochou

Chrysochou lies nestled between Goudi and Polis, on the North West Coast of Cyprus. From the B7, where you will most likely have seen it, it is notable for the well preserved mosque that dominates its skyline. But Chrysochou has other points of interest, and a few surprises should your curiosity entice you to explore, including a fully restored water mill!
