Koloni Green Point

Once we had dropped off our green waste, we headed back to the Ezousa Valley and drove up to the B6. We then headed towards Paphos. The next Green Point is situated just after the big roundabout near the Elea Golf Club. Heading into Paphos, it will be on your left.

Again, the place is very well maintained, and there is plenty of space.

Note The Times

A couple of years ago, information about the Green Points was posted on the internet. It is now out of date. The Opening Times have changed, and the contact name and telephone number on the post is no longer valid. We rang the number, but they no longer run the Green Points. Having no wish to get involved in that can of worms, we left it at that. Suffice it to say, the correct information is displayed on this sign.

Happy Christmas!

How's that for a bit of recycling? They made a Christmas Tree out of tyres and old toys.

What's This?

When we stopped at the Koloni Plant, we had no more items to recycle. We couldn't very well drive into the station without any, so we parked behind the bus stop outside. There were a load of bee hives there, but also this rather large Bird Box. What sort of bird would use it?

Tsada The Scenic Way

The usual way to get to Tsada from Paphos is to drive straight up the B7. Occasionally though, we prefer to take a scenic route. There are some nice rock formations along the way too, so we decided it would be a perfect candidate for a blog. It's also worth knowing that you don't have to rely on the B7 to get you up that hill!

Adonis Viewpoint

Last week, before the dust arrived and the storms chased the dust away (hopefully), we went exploring through the countryside between Adonis Baths and Akoursos. We were trying to get as close as we could to the Akoursos Cave, but a wrong turn plonked us in the middle of nowhere. I went off to hide a geocache, leaving my wife alone with the camera. This is a guest blog by my lovely wife. Well, she took the photos, anyway. I'm afraid you will have to rely on me for the actual commentary...

Chrysochou

Chrysochou lies nestled between Goudi and Polis, on the North West Coast of Cyprus. From the B7, where you will most likely have seen it, it is notable for the well preserved mosque that dominates its skyline. But Chrysochou has other points of interest, and a few surprises should your curiosity entice you to explore, including a fully restored water mill!

The Drive To Adonis Baths

Yesterday we posted a film showing the drive to Adonis Baths. It provoked a lot of comment, so here is the accompanying blog which will hopefully answer any questions.
