Towards Simou
As we walk through the village, you can see the hills towards Simou and Lasa in the distance.
The Main Church
I think we should have gone through the church grounds if we were following the path to the letter. As we passed this entrance I assumed that it was just the church driveway, but if you look back at the map, there is a kink in the route which I think takes you through the grounds.
Community Park
Presumably, the correct route goes through their Community Park and plonks you out here. This is right by the start. We just carried on down the road though, so missed the bit through the church.
One Last View
It was really, really nice being able to go for a walk a bit further from our villa in Polemi. The rules say we can exercise anywhere in our own district, and the district of Paphos is very large. So we could have driven further afield. However, when you have a nice route like this more or less on your doorstep it seems silly not to take advantage of it.

Yesterday, for the first time since March, we drove somewhere in order to have a walk. It was magnificant! We didn't drive far, just down the road. There is a nature trail which we walked before Christmas, and we thought it was the perfect place to start reacquainting ourselves with the Cyprus countryside.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
