Arnies Nature Trail
Good Dog

As we approached the junction, a van drove past us, followed by a lovely black Labrador. It stopped to say hello to us, and check we were ok, before running up the hill after the van.
Long Way

In this phot you can see the two markers, one is pointing up the hill, while the one in the distance points you to the long route. We chose the short route on this occasion. I did the long route in the winter, and it was pretty overgrown then in places. Now I would imagine the vegetation is a lot more prominent.
Up Here

Goats

Above you, to your left, you will see, hear, and smell, a goat farm. They will be pleased to see you too.
Cor

I originally thought this was a very large bumble bee. When I got closer it became apparent that it was more like a gigantic Asian Hornet. It was on a large thistle, and must have been about 7cm long. If you have seen the more common hornets in Cyprus, it was about twice the size of one of them.
Fortunately, I have learned that, unlike their smaller cousins, the hornets of Cyprus don't tend to sting. Oh they do have a sting, but they don't seem to feel the need to use it. I guess it is because whenever I see one I automatically give it a wide berth anyway.
Man, this one was huuuge.
