The Map

As one can see from the map, you don't need to travel that far to see different landscape scenery and different vegetation in our Paphos district. The more sporty readers could even go with a mountain bike, which would be a full day tour. With the car it is just a couple of hours including various stops for photos. Coming from the Peyia area the distance is even shorter.

Thank you for the blog Max, it is always nice to see what you get up to on your travels.

In our next blog, we will be taking a look at the various Easter Decorations that have popped up around the area. The Mall, too, has something special for the shoppers. And don't forget, there is still time to enter our Virtual Easter Egg Hunt!

The Crystal Hills of Polemi

This particularly one was a near perfect example of what makes a good cache: an interesting location that we would have been unlikely to find had there not been a cache there. The only thing that let the cache down was it's size, but we won't go into that here. Instead we shall have a look at the terrain, and see why the cache was called "The Crystal Hill".

Limni Crystal Hunting

We've long been fans of hunting for exotic crystals in the countryside of Cyprus. Half the fun of it is finding an interesting geological location. But it can also be a lot of hard work. So we thought we would show you it is possible to find some nice crystals with nothing more than a little hammer. They won't win any awards, but they are easy to find, and make a change from looking for shells on the beach...
