Happy Easter!
Coral Bay

From the Mall, we go to Coral Bay. They have some very smart chickens there.

Nice Eggs

The eggs are also in good nick.
Scary Stuff

Driving down the coast road towards Paphos, we come across some more menacing creations. That chipmonk(?) looks like he is taking no prisoners, and as for the chick emerging from the egg...
Main Drag

Down on the main Hotel Strip in Kato Paphos, things are a bit more sedate. A nice basket containing eggs and two friendly chicks complements the cheery Happy Easter flowers.
Towards Geroskipou

Heading up towards Geroskipou, we come across last year's favourites. Who can resist the cute chick poking out of the egg? Not menacing at all.

Happy Easter
We were out doing our Annual Easter Egg Hunt this morning. It took us down through the Esouza Valley, and finally to the sea. I won't be doing a blog article on the final part of this journey, as it isn't in the same league as the two sections I have previously blogged about. However, we did stumble across this shrine. At first glance, I took it as a typical shrine you see fairly frequently in Cyprus. However, a second glance revealed it to be rather unusual.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
