Famous Bar
Behind the Imperial Island Hotel you will find Pachyammos Beach. Part of it anyway. There is also another watersports centre here and a little bar with a famous owner. If you are fan of Britain's Got Talent you will be delighted to know that this is where you will find Stavros Flatley. Retired from celebrity life, though happy to do private engagements and weddings, he will now serve you with a refreshing tipple if you fancy taking a break from your walk.
Pachyammos Beach Part 2
This is the other part of Pachyammos Beach. To the right of the shot is a large, bumpy car park. This used to be a separate beach called "Municipal Beach", but the two now appear to have been merged into one big sploshfest. If you have small children though, head for the bit behind Stavros Flatley. There is a natural reef there that creates a child-friendly swimming area.
Newly Renovated
Behind Pachyammos Beach you will find the Olympic Lagoon Resort. This is an All Inclusive 5 Star Family Hotel with spa, though it also has an adult-only section.
More Watersports
There is another Water Sports centre here, as well as a little jetty which a great place for bracing photographs when a gale is blowing. There is also an interesting little area on the right.
Wedding Venue
I love the wedding venue here. There is a nice statue of Aphrodite to the side, and when you see it decked out for an occasion the whole site looks lovely.

MapPaphos Boardwalk In 2026
Paphos Boardwalk runs from Geroskipou all the way to Sandy Beach in Lemba. There are plans to expand the route all the way to Coral Bay and eventually Agios Georgios Harbour. One of our favourite parts is the area behind the Hotel Strip. In this article I follow this route and photograph the experience.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
