Beautiful
The grounds here are phenomenal. Pachyammos 2 beach itself may not be that spectacular, but when you have the option of laying on a sunbed on these lawns it doesn't really matter. And you have the added bonus of not getting your feet covered in sand.
More Pyramids
After the Athena Beach you will come to a shaded area which has another pyramid structure. There is also a putting green here and numerous bowling greens.
Going Bananas
You can't tell from these pictures but those are actually banana plants which have growing crops of bananas on them.
Royal Treatment
The next hotel is the Athena Royal Beach. This is an Adult Only 4 Star Hotel with All-Inclusive option and Spa.
New Look
The hotel after the Athena Royal has recently had a new look and a name change. This is now the Imperial Island Resort. It is a 5 star family resort with an all-inclusive option and spa.

MapPaphos Boardwalk In 2026
Paphos Boardwalk runs from Geroskipou all the way to Sandy Beach in Lemba. There are plans to expand the route all the way to Coral Bay and eventually Agios Georgios Harbour. One of our favourite parts is the area behind the Hotel Strip. In this article I follow this route and photograph the experience.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
