It's Snowing In Polemi!

I know Polemi has had snow many times before, but this is the first time we've had proper snow since we moved here in June. So naturally I had to take some pictures...
From our Kitchen
This was the view from our kitchen window half an hour ago. Our daughter is thrilled at the prospect of playing in the snow tomorrow, and it will save me another trip to the Troodos!
A Very Slippery Drive
I decided to venture outside to get a few more interesting pictures. I almost brained myself walking out of the driveway though.

You can't tell from this shot but the snow is falling horizontally here.
The Snow Makes Everything Look Pretty
Bins don't normally look picturesque, but with a bit on snow, you could almost turn it into a Christmas Card!
What Will Tomorrow Bring?
As I type this, the snow is dying down. Will it continue throughout the night? Our daughter certainly hopes so. All the weather sites think it should be raining at the moment though, so only time will tell. I will make sure I have my camera handy...

Thanks to the Troodos Webcam we were able to see that it had been snowing in the hills, so we packed our jumpers and headed off for some winter fun.
Polemi Sunset
Polemi isn't known for it's sunsets, well, to us at least. They are normally the domain of the coastal areas of Paphos, and Max's house. However, this evening, the Gods smiled on us, and granted us a lovely sunset. The photos can provide a brief, fitting epilogue to our last blog, Polemi Sunrise.

Polemi Tulip Festival 2018
This morning, Polemi was bathed in Spring sunshine, as it invited people to come and see the tulips that flourish there every year. It is an annual event, which gives a true taste of traditional Cypriot life. And as we live in Polemi ourselves, it would be rude not to cover it, wouldn't it?

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
