Polemi Tulip Report
Poser

Though a profile shot of Mark provides strong competition.

Snow-Capped Closeup

Mind you, Mark and the rest of the cats are here all year round. This snow will be gone soon, so let's have one last look.
Home Time

Anyway, it is time to go home now, so I lead the cats away from the tulip field. If you happen to drive up to the tulip field over the coming weeks, please drive slowly.
Vineyard View

I feel very privileged to live in an area that is as beautiful as this. And this scene is fairly common throughout the countryside of Paphos. If you are visiting on holiday, you owe it to yourself to get out and see more than the beaches, sea front and Archaeological Park.
Tired Cats

When we got home the cats had a lie down. I'm not sure where Tabby went but the rest of them plonked themselves down in the porch for a rest.
If there is a tulip festival this year I will publicise it here. But if there isn't its not the end of the world. The countryside is full of blooming Spring flowers at the moment. If you can find a break in the rain, go out and do some exploring.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
