I love this kind of place. There is a metallic smell in the air and the ground crackles as you walk over crystals that formed when the rain water evaporated.

Here There Be Rocks

Anyway, let's find ourselves some shiney. There are plenty of rocks here, waiting to be whacked. So pick a suitable one (ie you can carry it) and find a place to get comfy. If you have brought something to kneel on it will come in useful.

Let's Find Stuff!

Ok, so we have got a rock. And we have got a hammer. Let's put the two together.

Smaller Rocks

One hit and we now have 5 smaller rocks. I am going to whack the fragment the hammer is leaning on. I could have just as easily chosen one of the other fragments though.

Bullseye!

There, see? I knocked another clump off and it has exposed a crystal-lined hole. Let's take a closer look.
