Kannaviou Countryside
Front of the Dam
Anyway, we weren't just here to see the dam. I am in the process of compiling two new ebooks. One will be another road trip, but the other will feature abandoned villages...
Distant Reservoir
According to the PRIO database, there was one such village just below Pano Panagia. So today we went looking for Mamountali.
Never get tired of that view though.
Lovely Countryside
According to Google Maps, Mamountali lies to the west of Pano Panagia, and south of Asprogia. We approached through Asprogia, and were immediately struck by how beautiful the scenery was.
Water Feature
We found this water feature, which was actually fairly modern.

On our numerous visits to the dam over the last few days, we have also taken the opportunity to explore the countryside between the Asprokremmos and Polemi. How had the rains affected the Ezousa Valley? Was one of our hidden picnic areas still intact? Could I even get from Ezousa to Kallepia, like I had done on a previous blog? Would I rescue some German tourists? The short answers are badly, ish, no and yes. For a more in-depth discussion, read on.From Ezousa Valley To The Sea (almost)
The river Ezousa has carved a beautiful valley out of the lowlands to the east of Paphos. We return to Episkopi to see if it is possible to follow it to the sea in our trusty 4x4.Ezousa Estuary
A couple of years ago we stumbled across a sad little memorial at the mouth of the Ezousa River. We thought we would check it out again a few days ago, to see what the area looked like after the rains. The question was, how would we get to it?Good Pages To Visit
