Beyond The Farm

The gorge did indeed continue beyond the farm. There was also a lot of gypsum around, including some huge boulders of it which you can see in the foreground here, above the floor of the gorge.

Gypsum Bubbles

On the opposite side of the gorge, in the hillside, you can see these "bubbles" og gypsum. A couple of them have burst. We saw similar rocks near Letymbou. They are worth getting up close to if you have the chance.

End Of The Road

The track ended at somebody's front drive, so I did a 12 point turn and headed back towards the B7.

If you take away one thing from this article, I hope it is the idea that you can have a great time in Cyprus by just stopping at a random farm track and going for a wander. Be adventurous! Go beyond the comfort zones of the beaches and the sea front, and you will be richly rewarded.
