Roundabout
You will soon come to a small roundabout. Ultimately we will be heading towards Bay Watch and Friends, but first, lets have a look around.
Towards Bar Street
If you turn right, you will end up in Bar Street. These restaurants may look familiar, as we passed near them at the end of our Bar Street blog.
On The Left
Meanwhile, on the the left, another road skirts the park. I wasn't going to go down here, but I spied those blue boxes. These are Public Loos, so I wanted to avail myself of them.
Abandoned Tavern?
On the way, I couldn't help but notice that the business on my right looked very run down. It had been boarded up but somebody had broken in to have a nose around. Tempting though it was, I wanted to remain on point, so I ignored the lure and continued on my way.
Apartment Life
Anyway, the toilet was clean and functional. Useful to know if you are in the area and had one too many coffees before your morning ramble. It was clear looking across the street that there were a number of empty premises. However, like Bar Street, they had apartments above them. As you can see here, it must be laundry day today.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
