Tsada to Mesogi, the Scenic Route

Mesogi Heights
After the rocks, the road hugs the hill, giving a spectacular view. But do keep your eyes on the road, it is a bit of a drop here.
Mesogi Beckons!
And here is Mesogi. It has recently been undergoing some renovations. A lot of the roads have been rebuilt, as you shall see. They appear to be finished now.
Go Right Here
I recently made a film of this route. In the film I turn left here. For this blog I am turning right though, as I want to give you a little taste of Mesogi.
Turn Left Here
The road goes up a short hill to a T junction. Remember back at the top of the hill I said if you missed the left turn you would still end up in Mesogi? Well, this is where you would end up. So turn left here.
Into Mesogi
Mesogi is a nice village, with several taverns. Some of the roads are quite narrow though. This is the same for a lot of villages.

The usual way to get to Tsada from Paphos is to drive straight up the B7. Occasionally though, we prefer to take a scenic route. There are some nice rock formations along the way too, so we decided it would be a perfect candidate for a blog. Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
