Previously On The Polemi Tulip Festival...
As promised, here are some shots of a previous Polemi Tulip Festival. Here you can see the Metochi Cultural Centre, with lots of people watching a performance on the stage.
Loukoumades
A festival isn't a festival without loukoumades.
One Of The Performances
There will be several acts, from local schools and dance clubs.
Tulip Themed Stalls
There will also be a number of stalls selling tulip-themed art crafts and produce. Outside of the Metochi Centre there will be a number of other stalls, selling the traditional items you find at Cypriot festivals and fayres.
Respect The Fence
Finally, here are some of the festival attendants enjoy the field itself. If you drive to the festival, don't then drive to the field. Leave you car and walk it. It isn't far, and cars just get in the way.
Normally I would film the event, but I have picked up a nasty cold at the moment, so won't be attending. We wish it every success though.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
