Polemi Lockdown
And Finally...

When we came to another junction we turned left again. Polemi's landmark Water Tower now swang into view.

Lots of Vineyards

There are even more vineyards on this leg of our short journey. They will no doubt be producing grapes for the nearby SODAP Winery.
TLC

All of these vines will be pruned each year by hand. We see the same in the vineyard opposite our home.
More Cyprus Pines

We turn left again past these trees, and head back towards the tulips, where Alex will confront the stranger in the field.
Goatherd Paradise

We will leave you with a closer view of the back streets of Polemi. The two seats are probably used by the local goat farmer, who takes his goats through the fields occasionally, to munch on the weeds.
So, Polemi still looks lovely, if a bit dusty at the moment. We are now over half way through the first week of lockdown. It is really important that people stay locked down, too. Don't go out unless necessary. I'm not talking about a walk around the block like this. That is permitted. I am talking about going to beaches, having picnics, even visiting friends. Just save it until after the lockdown is over. According to the Press, the SMS service received over 110,000 messages asking to leave the house. That's an awful lot of "emergencies".
Stay safe, and stay at home.
Oh and one final thing, if you haven't already seen it, you can generate a form and the SMS code using our online form. Just enter your details. If you are generating an SMS code, it will appear in front of you. If you click the "Make PDF" button, the data will get sent to our server where it will be stamped on a PDF form and downloaded right back to you. Nothing is stored on our server. I mention this because there have been reports of scams around. Treat your data carefully.
Citizen Movement Form and SMS Generator
Do not abuse the SMS and form system though. Both lives and liberty are at stake.

Polemi Tulip Festival 2018
This morning, Polemi was bathed in Spring sunshine, as it invited people to come and see the tulips that flourish there every year. It is an annual event, which gives a true taste of traditional Cypriot life. And as we live in Polemi ourselves, it would be rude not to cover it, wouldn't it?

Polemi Sunset
Polemi isn't known for it's sunsets, well, to us at least. They are normally the domain of the coastal areas of Paphos, and Max's house. However, this evening, the Gods smiled on us, and granted us a lovely sunset. The photos can provide a brief, fitting epilogue to our last blog, Polemi Sunrise.
Polemi Snow!
I know Polemi has had snow many times before, but this is the first time we've had proper snow since we moved here in June. So naturally I had to take some pictures...Good Pages To Visit

We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia.
