Paphos Seafront Roadworks Update - January 2024

Completion Date?
I have no idea how long it is going to take before the project is complete. At this end at least the road is done, but back towards the Sea Front it needs finishing before they can start on the landscaping. The only alternative would be to close the road completely and I cannot see that happening.
Pipe Dreams
There are a lot of pipes there. What do think they are going to be used for?

If you guessed "fountains and a water feature" then you would be correct. I wonder if there will also be suitable lighting like they have installed up at the castle. Imagine what this would look like illuminated at night?
Take another look at the picture. Why would anybody be walking by the fountains like that? I am guessing the girl was put there to show scale.
Parting Shot
However long it takes, I am sure it will look lovely in the end. You only have to look at all the other renovations that have happened at the Seafront, Harbour and Coast Path to know that it is in good hands.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
